Dear Striketech,

My buddies and I went ice fishing this past weekend in Northern Ontario. We were in -3 degree temperatures on the ice, with a windchill. I used the GA reel both days for four hours straight and it performed amazing! All my fishing partners were using competitor reels and they could not keep up with the number of fish I caught, all averaging 2 - 6 pounds. I purposely left the reel in the snow and slush to see how well the GA would perform in the frigid temperatures. It outlasted any others that I have used in the past! Out of curiosity I had one of my partners leave his reel out as I did and he had difficulty with his reel freezing up, where I had no difficulties! I would strongly recommend this reel to any ice fisherman looking for a new advantage in the market. This reel is the new innovation to vertical fishing!

I got out yesterday (Thursday) on Lake Simcoe and, as expected, I outfished my dad. I was jigging in 79 feet of water with a Williams spoon. I set the reel to the max setting, and began to jig. The jigging on the max setting added a whole lot more action to the bait than jigging with a regular reel. I tested this where I could see it down the hole, as well as on the depth finder. The Ling Cod just slammed that spoon. The drag was super smooth, as well as the reel itself as I was bringing the fish up. Without a doubt this is the best spinning reel I have ever used.
